The Gulfport Harbor at Jones Park was seriously damaged during Hurricane Katrina. This large scale reconstruction proposal uses both the public and private land in the park area. The mixed-use design scheme includes a park area with an amphitheater enclosed with earth-berms and flanked by a two-story parking garage. Atop the parking garage is an outdoor promenade, retail shops, condos, three restaurants, and an 11 story hotel.

The different levels of the complex overlook the water, beach front, harbor slips, and boat launching ramp. This conglomeration of multiple uses into one public and private complex will add a tremendous energy and a new dynamic to downtown Gulfport, Mississippi.
